The goal of this quality improvement project was to determine if a nurse practitioner could utilize virtual, faith-based spiritual resources for socially isolated older adults to reduce loneliness and improve their quality of life. A volunteer sample of 16 adults over the age of 55 was recruited from local communities to participate in this 2-month intervention and follow up. The primary outcome measures were a reduction in social isolation and loneliness as indicated by the De Jong Gierveld scale and improved quality of life as measured by the World Health Organization quality of life scale brief version.en_US
