The five poems gathered here are part of my manuscript of 64 poems that are my final thesis for the MFA in Creative Writing. My thesis, titled “Wolfcraft,” is an initiation text of sorts, where I move through five states of initiation to become my poet-self and my animal-self. The selected poems each represent one of the five stages of initiation that the manuscript explores.
